A weekend ritual that starts with one glass of water
You do not have to leave town. Cut the day into passages you can feel, and the house gets larger.

Ritual is often sold as expense or complexity. At HaSou it is closer to a cut in time: a pause long enough to notice that you are inside this hour, and not the next one.
Saturday morning, begin with the first glass of water. Do not drink it standing at the sink. Sit in the same place — a window, a balcony, the table — and use the same cup. The warmth of the wall, the faint mineral of the water, become an anchor.
Then give yourself forty uninterrupted minutes of reading or putting a room in order. Silence the phone and leave it in another room. The corners you have stopped seeing have been waiting, quite patiently, to be looked at again.
In the afternoon, run a small kitchen experiment: one simple dish you have never cooked. The point is not the plate. It is the smell and the tempo of the work.
Keep an hour at dusk for a walk or a stretch. Skip the step count. Note the color of the sky and the direction of the wind. Sunday, leave a blank. Real rest usually arrives from the hours you refused to fill.
